- Drying

Although pad printing inks typically dry
to the touch within a few minutes, accelerated drying is
recommended or required in some applications. For
example, drying at an elevated temperature is
recommended for most two-component inks, and required
for most inks used on bare metals, glass and ceramics.
Self-standing dryers and hot air guns are two popular
methods of convection and conduction drying. Infrared (IR)
curing is the "new wave" for pad printers, providing
faster curing times than convection or conduction.
