Film making
The quality of the original artwork and the
quality of the film positive generated from that artwork
will determine whether you succeed or fail in cliché
making, since there is nothing you can do in the cliché
making process to compensate for poor quality artwork.
There are several ways to produce film positives
including dry film and direct film imaging systems,
process cameras, and laser printers. Once the artwork is
created at 1:1 using a graphics program such as Corel
Draw, Adobe Illustrator or Freehand it is output either
to a laser printer, or to an imaging system. While it is
best to use a direct film imaging system or a process
camera to produce film positives, some people prefer to
use a laser printer alone to make positives for use in
cliché making.
Wash up
TOSH manufactures two different types of
automatic parts washing equipment.
The INOX-100 is similar to a dish-washer, re-circulating
a cleaning solution through a filtered, closed loop
system with reciprocating spray heads.
TOSH also offers ultrasonic cleaning tanks in various
sizes.
The Crosswire Ink System
TOSH machine users can reap the benefits of
sealed ink cups when printing long, narrow images via
the use of Crosswire Ink Systems. The Crosswire enables
Multi-format Series machines to print along the entire
length of items such as catheters, appliance panels,
baseball bats, golf club shafts, and much more.
Crosswire Ink Systems travel along the X-axis (right and
left from operator's perspective) instead of along the
Y-axis (in and out from the operator's perspective).
Crosswire Ink Systems are available with either stepper
motor or pneumatic drive, with adjustable stroke
distances ranging from 300mm up to 990mm, and with the
ability to use several different ink cup diameters.
Crosswire Ink Systems are factory-installed only.
The Flexible Cliché Platform
The Flexible Cliché Platform enables users to
adjust the X- and Y-axes location of the Clichés via a
pin register system. Used in conjunction with the
adjustable pitch feature available for TOSH sealed ink
systems, the Flexible Cliché Platform also allows users
to utilize varying ink cup diameters and cliché sizes as
necessary for maximum system efficiency and flexibility.
